Jonathan Kingslake for Earth Day

Jonathan Kingslake is a Lamont glaciologist who studies ice sheets and glaciers: "Our work is so urgent because city planners, engineers, and politicians around the planet need to know how much sea level is going to go up so they can make plans on how best to deal with changes. We're playing a small part in a community effort to improve those predictions."

This Earth Month, we are celebrating our Earth Institute and Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory scientists and experts and the 50th anniversary of Earth Day on April 22, 2020.
