George received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science (specializing in Engineering Physics) from the University of Toronto in 2021, and is now undertaking his PhD at Columbia University with Jonathan Kingslake as his advisor. He is interested in understanding glacial hydrology and the stability of ice sheets, so he is consequently focused on studying supraglacial lake drainage in Greenland as a first year graduate student.
